Unrealized dreams

People differ. They differ in everything. Fashion, hair-cut, make up of modern younger generation differ from those about 10 years ago. The same can be said about music. Young people prefer more energetic music that does not allow to rest and think. Their music demands action. Lyric of their songs may seem strange as it may have different meter and no rhymes at all. Many songs are not sung, they are recited. Waltzes, tango and other dances are replaced by club music, noisy and fast. It is hard to talk, you have either to keep silent and jerk pretending that you dance or shout to give your friend a possibility to hear your words.

 

Music does not unite. It separates. Every teenager has got a real possibility to choose music up to his taste. Small and convenient media players allow taking music everywhere. You can jog in the morning listening to your favorite group or singer. You can create your own play lists and choose music for work and rest.

At the same time opera houses and concert halls still invite people for their performances. You can see a lot of young people there. It means that today young people have more opportunities to learn more about singers, composers, listen to the best voices on-line and choose what they really prefer.

Being able to listen to your own choice of music privately despite the crowds or the outdoor surroundings, there are still concerns about what loud thrumming music can do the fragile tissue of the eardrums. The ears are very sensitive to certain decibels and those decibels are congruent with the ear buds of an Mp3 player. Hearing your own music privately, allowing the tunes to take you to a new dimension or work through an indescribable hurt can be emotionally healing but murder on the eardrums.

The younger you are the less likely you are to give your ears any consideration and the more likely you are to believe that ear damage happens to other people, especially from something as similar as music.

Music is like a steady pulse for some people, something to cling to when nothing else seems quite right. Yet that steady pulse is causing more hearing loss than factory work in people under age thirty. Simply turning the music down a swipe or two can save your hearing for life.

When the infamous walkmans first arrived on the scene, there was a great deal of publicity about what extreme decibels could do for the music lover’s hearing. However, we have become accustomed to the little white buds stuck in the ears for just about any occasion and we rarely remind our teens and young adults about the dangers of hearing loss. Music can last a lifetime for those who protect their ears while being swept away by its awesome power.

What’s music? I don’t think someone could define it rather clearly. Nearly everyone can hear the music, but hardly a part could really understand it and - what’s more - create it by their own.
Until music began in the primitive society, it has developed far and now it has a great number of different styles. However, there always be classical music, loved by people throughout history, whatever happens.
People get music using different instruments, including computers that can create unnatural sounds. In the XX century there appeared (or was remembered, who knows) the art of beat box and rap. Music could be got from anything.
Started as a part of human culture, nowadays music defines even the person’s way of life, it influences a lot on people’s appearance, behavior, hobbies, and tempers. Those who listen to hard rock music are normally bad-tempered, rappers have a strange manner of communication, those who listen to reggae are always relaxed and not very firm of purpose in life. Anyway, it’s not only entertainment, but also something influencing people’s minds.
And what music does give you?

Music for me - it is a world in which I live and actualize myself. I can not imagine life without music. When I listen to it, I enjoy a wide range of sounds that are in tune with each other and create an incredible combination, merging into the picture, transforming in time. These paintings recreating in my head as virtual reality, full of emotions, movement, life, energy.
Any sound in any musical composition - is a huge rainbow of sounds. Unfortunately, not everyone is aware of and hears. For many people, music - this is just a pleasant background noise that is heard to give yourself a mood or provoking some memories. For musicians, music - is something more. This is something that you can hear, feel, describe, to play a musical instrument, draw, imagine in the pictures and colors, and finally transform into his consciousness.
To write music requires musical instrument or a combination. What will be richer palette of sounds, given such a «orchestra», will be more interesting composition. Today, the most simple and effective combination of instruments - is a computer and MIDI keyboard. The computer today is in the hands of an amateur musician (and professional) the powerful means of expressing their musical ideas. All the sounds you can create, simulate and process inside the computer, moving to the column, only the final result. Previously, when the computers that could not write music, you can only have been in the studio with expensive equipment. But the time has come when we can do without it.
